My Five Favourite Quotes

Sometimes you read something and it's just what you need to hear. Sometimes you read something and it makes perfect sense. We're all different, but these five rang true to me.

See what you think or perhaps you have your favourites that you cast your eyes over every now and then...

You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."

Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin said some good stuff in their time. Most of us doubt ourselves, question what we're doing and often don't think we can manage it all. This quote reminds me that we can do anything we put our minds to.

Perfect happiness is a beautiful sunset, the giggle of a child, the first snowfall. It's the little things that make happy moments, not the grand events. Joy comes in sips, not gulps.

We're all striving for the big things; those things that we think are going to make us happy. Buying the next car or heading off on the next holiday. The simplest things are often the ones that happen day to day and we should appreciate more. Perhaps an afternoon in the pub when you couldn't stop laughing or a walk taking in a glorious moment-stopping sunrise.

Celebrate the little things. Precious moments. Small victories.

A joyous chill down your spine, a smile you can't stop with a frown.

This is another that reminds you to celebrate moments. You'll know what I mean next time.

Photography was a way for me to freeze time and to capture the moments that were happy and healthy. I saw a photo as a way to go back to a memory if I ever needed to.

I love looking back at snaps. Everyone has a moan when you ask to take a photo, but isn't it wonderful to be able to look back on that moment and smile? It's sure to bring back all those feelings from the day...

I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together. Marilyn Monroe

You hate it when people say it; Everything happens for a reason. There never seems like a reason at the time, but often when you look back a week later, sometimes a month or even a year, you can see that very reason and you're okay with it.

I hope you enjoyed. It's a quiet reminder that often we are too hard on ourselves, we are so busy looking to change the world that we forget to enjoy the little things and everything really does happen for a reason.
